Job Description

Logistics Manager required for a well-established manufacturer based in the Thetford, Norfolk. The successful Logistics Manager will have a proven background in the management of stock control systems, warehousing, managing 3PLs, supply chain logistics,customer service support, scheduling logistics movements and team leading.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a well-established but rapidly expanding company, with the opportunity to bring new ideas forward to assist in the development and continued growth of the business.The successful candidate will join a forward looking, growth orientated team and should be orientated towards personal development, eager to apply themselves, confident in their abilities and aspirations, and willing to take the risks required to developtheir career.Logistics Manager - Manufacturing Position Overview

  • Coordinating with the production teams and third-party logistics providers to successfully deliver goods and equipment in line with customer requirements
  • Managing a small department responsible for order processing, stock control systems, supply chains logistics and the warehousing/outbound team.
  • Scheduling the internal drivers diaries and routes.
  • Working with the health and safety team to ensure standards are met across the yard/logistics operation.
  • Addressing and carrying out any HR matters & meetings accordingly.
  • Providing ongoing learning & development opportunities for team members.
Logistics Manager - Manufacturing Position Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Logistics management/Warehousing/Supply chain management/Customer service and team leading orientated role.
  • Experience working within the manufacturing industry desirable but not essential.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Thetford (opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week once comfortable in the role)
  • Full UK Driving License
Logistics Manager - Manufacturing Position Remuneration
  • Starting salary £35,000 - £45,000 - Dependent upon experience and ability.
  • Hours 08:00 - 16:30 - Monday to Friday
  • 25 Days Holiday, plus Bank Holidays
  • Pension
