Job Title: HR OfficerJob ID: 20459Salary: £30-37kLocation: ThetfordJob Type: PermanentIndustry: ManufacturingA leading design and manufacturing business are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join their team of 50 people, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee engagement and health and safety whilst providing support forthe effective and successful day-to-day operation of the HR and H&S functions.The role will be based in their head office in Thetford.Main Purpose of the role:Reporting into the Financial Director, you will successfully manage the strategic HR and H&S functions in our business, focusing on sound legal and best practice compliance and championing a positive open, inclusive and empowering culture in the business.To manage all HR activities including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, employee benefits, training and development, records management, succession and appropriate health and safety.Experience:· CIPD Qualified or part qualified or equivalent qualification;· Proven experience as an HR Officer, with a focus on employee engagement.· Experience in overseeing the day-to-day management of the companies H&S strategy.· Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice.· Experience working in a small team environment, with a mix of production and· administration roles.· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all· levels.· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.· Experience with HR software and payroll systems.· Previous experience in similar role;· Highly organised with strong time management and able to work under pressure;· Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flexible approach and the ability· to influence and motivate others and able to build working relationships.· Delivery against assigned KPI’s.· Experience in a diverse and busy team environment;· Results focussed, motivated and like to take ownership of tasks and projects;· Keen on developing existing skills as well as learning new ones.If this sounds like a good match for you then please apply now as interviews will be taking place immediately.
