Job Description

Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) OfficerLocation:Thetford, UKSalary:£35,000 - £45,000 per annumAbout Us:Our Client is a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company with a strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer to join their team in Thetford.If you have a passion for creating a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, along with expertise in Nebosh, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, we encourage you to apply.You will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations in Thetford. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our HSE programs, policies, and procedures to create a safe and sustainableworking environment for our employees.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.
  • Manage the documentation and reporting of safety and environmental incidents.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HSE initiatives.
  • Maintain records and reports related to safety and environmental performance.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
Qualifications:
  • Nebosh certification is essential.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Officer in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Familiarity with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
