X2 Part-time, permanent posts 24 hours post and 16 hours post with hours to be we worked over rota which will include 7 hours Monday and weekend working.Starting salary: £19,240 - £21,322 pro-rata per annumBased in HMP Wayland Visitors CentreThe Ormiston Families team is based at HMP Wayland. We provide support, information and a personal welcome for first-time visitors to help them access the services available to them. We are excited to be growing and transforming our services for children,families and young people, and will be focused on improving our quality and availability of services and so it is a great time to consider joining us.We are seeking Family Support Workers to assist with the effective and efficient running of family sessions, meet and greet in the visitors centre and supporting in the prison visits hall (including play rea), to ensure prisoners and their families havea valuable visiting experience, improving the quality of visits for children and families and helping to maintain family relationships.To be successful you will have experience of dealing with people in a customer service-based role and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills. If you have experience of play work this would be an advantage but is not anessential requirement of the posts.There are 2 positions which are both part-time with one for 24 hours and one for 16 hours per week.
