Grade A Recruitment are recruiting Education Support Workers (based at Thetford) to support young people in all aspects of their learning and development.This opportunity will be on a day to day, short term and long term basis starting from April 2021 and possibly permanent for the right candidate.As an Education Support Worker, your role will involve creating and upholding effective relationships with students and helping students to achieve learning targets set by the teacher. The successful candidate will be enthusiastically involved in encouraging student well-being and developing independence and confidence. It is essential that you are able to excellently support children by building a relationship on 1:1 basis, as well as within small groups. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the class teacher and helping to ensure that lessons run efficiently.The successful Support Worker will need to be:Available immediately;Resilient and able to hit the ground running in an situation that can sometimes be challenging;Able to build up a strong and optimistic rapport with the children and young people you’re supporting;We welcome applications from Teaching Assistants with a Level 2 and/or 3 Qualification in Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent, as well as from individuals with a Support Worker and/or Career background.To be considered for the position as SEND Teaching Assistant, you must:Have experience of supporting children and young people with challenging behaviour, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Behavioural (SEBD) Difficulties and/or Autism (ASD/ASC)Be effective with handling behaviour and confident in using behaviour management techniquesHave a genuine desire to become part of committed team of Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) education practitioners.At Grade A , we take our responsibilities seriously and our aim is to ensure you are well supported and rewarded for your efforts.
