Job Role: CAD Technician - Solidworks Location: Thetford, Norfolk Salary: £25,000-£40,000 DOE Hours: 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday - working hours are flexible Job Type: Full time, Permanent The client: Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established manufacturer and designer of bespoke furniture for an array of exciting industries and companies as they are looking to add a CAD Technician with Solidworks experience to their growing design team.Our client has been established for over 60 years and have become a major player in their industry, and with three sites based in Thetford, they are only going from strength to strength. The package: · Salary of between £25,000-£40,000 dependent of experience · 33 days inclusive of bank holidays · Flexible working hours - as long as 40 hours worked per week · 6 monthly development meetings · Company Pension Scheme · Ongoing commitment to training and progression The Duties: · Create and produce high quality production drawings for company products using the Solidworks CAD package, working as efficiently as possible · Develop concepts from customers to ensure work can be completed by in-house machinery efficiently and effectively · Carry out and complete projects from concept through to completion of a fully developed products, producing and maintaining schedules to ensure the project is always moving in the right direction · Understand the full scope of projects by utilising architects layout drawings · Maintain a good level of organisation to ensure that all data is managed correctly as these projects are very fast paced · Liaise with member of the production team to ensure the project is as efficient as possible, implementing efficient solutions in future projects The Requirements: · Previous experience using the SolidWorks CAD package (essential) · Previous experience working with both wood and sheet metal (essential) · Previous experience working within joinery and/or furniture manufacturing or design (essential) · Relevant qualifications such as NVQs and/or City & Guilds (advantageous) · Previous experience working with the SWOOD 7 add in on the Solidworks package (advantageous) · Previous experience surrounding costing and budgeting (advantageous) Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
