Job Description

Account ManagerThetford£30,000 - £35,000 My client is an established and rapidly growing manufacturer of personal care and cosmetic products. Due to recent contract wins, the opportunity to recruit an Account Manager has arisen. This is a unique opportunity to join the business in a brand new role,and work with some of the UKs biggest brand ownersPurposeTo manage new and existing customer accounts, overseeing projects and taking the customer through the product lifecycle journey from concept to launch. The role is to proactively engage with customers past and present offering to produce new products drivenby innovation and gap analysis. Essentially you are the front of house first line of engagement for new and existing business.Responsibilities

  • Manage a number of existing company accounts, ensuring a positive, effective and productive working relationship with each to encourage growth and profitability
  • To meet with customers when necessary to discuss current enquiries and prospective business
  • Working closely with the R&D team, Packaging Technologists, Purchasing and Operational teams on identifying and overseeing new projects from enquiry to sample approval, ensuring projects are delivered on time
  • Identifying and rectifying any teething problems related to existing or potential orders
  • Working with internal account managers to develop product costing/quoting, ensuring it reflects the needs of both the business and the customer
  • Deliver sales targets and associated key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Proactively explore potential new market opportunities
Requirements
  • Experience of B2B customers within personal care contract manufacturing is desirable, but not essential
  • Proven experience of successfully creating, developing and managing relationships with key accounts
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently liaise with people across all levels of the business
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task when appropriate
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail, IT literate, excellent problem-solving skills
