We are working closely with a large engineering business supporting their search for an IT Technician to add to their growing team. Although you should have some working experience we are looking for candidates keen to learn with a genuine passion for Technology. You must have strong communication skills and a team work ethic with a willingness to roll our sleeves up to get stuck in to IT issues. Although you will be based from the Thetford office, the role will include travel out to multiple sites across East Anglia to set up, support and decommission IT Infrastructure. For this reason you must possess a Full Driving License Main Tasks: • Troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as smartphones, tablets, Laptops, PCs and Printers• Onsite and remote installation of software / hardware• Troubleshoot basic network issues such as Wi-Fi issues• Escalate unresolved calls appropriately• Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner• To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to service management principles• Basic Active Directory knowledge. User and password management• Basic Office 365 administration• Experience with using and troubleshooting Outlook and Exchange within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation)Essential Experience: • Customer focused Service Driven• Good analytical skills• Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.• Excellent organisational skills• Previous IT Service Desk and/or Call Centre experience preferable• A self-motivated achiever who thrives as part of a team and gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service• Must have a full UK driving licenseThis is a fantastic opportunity to learn within a fast paced environment, where you will get your hands on all sorts of tech, to give you a great start in your IT Support career.
