Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Major Incident Manager to join a global technology powerhouse that has dominated the industry for over 50 years. You will manage the process, taking ownership for matrix managed resources to restore normal service operationas quickly as possible to minimize the impact to service and business operations and will receive a salary of up to £74,000 per annum, along with a bonus of up to 20%, company shares, a pension scheme, and private healthcare.As Major Incident Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and assessing performance of the process in line with Incident Management process per SOW
  • Owning the process governance and adherence - call out and educate/re-educate on process non- adherence.
  • Ensuring the closure of all resolved and end-user confirmed Incident records
  • Ensuring traction and reporting daily on the progress of Problem Reports
  • Providing guidance to the various support teams with regards to the process.
  • Determining if escalation is required, according to priority and severity of the issue.
  • Feeding into the monthly Service Reviews, including full summaries of all Major Incidents for the respective months
  • Meeting monthly with Service Managers to discuss process shortfall, improvements/new initiatives.
  • Providing deep analysis into Incidents, root causes, weaknesses, corrective actions etc.
We’re looking for a Major Incident Manager with the following skills and experience:
  • Extensive experience in an ITIL based organization specifically within an Operational
  • ITILv3 Foundation Certificate or higher
  • Higher Education Degree in IT/Business
  • Passion for excellence and delivery
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical updates to non-technical stakeholders.
