Job Description

We are recruiting for Support Workers for Adults with Learning Disbilities to support with activities such as swimming, sensory activties, art and accessing the community. The hours are 10am -3pm a minimum of two days per week to support scheduled activities.You will be supporting five lovely gentlemen men with Autism and Learning Disability at The Saplings - near Vivary Park. We want to support all of our gentlemen to have a full and active life and to be a part of their community. The role will involve buildingrelationships with the people we support, supporting in the community to including swimming (you will be required to support in the pool), supporting to visit and enjoy sensory rooms and local attractions. The role also includes researching and deliveringfun and engaging activities in the home such as painting, dance and one-to-one activities. Additional hours are available if required but core working hours will be between 10am - 3pm.Discovery is proud to be one of the very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme 2021.About the role:.
