Job Description

Your role will be to provide support for people to do all of the things that each day in life entails, from maintaining relationships with family and friends, managing personal finances, participating in hobbies and so much more. We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our team at Newholme in Ruishton near Taunton.Newholme is home to a diverse group of 8 adults with a range of learning and physical disabilities. We are at the beginning of an exciting transformation into a new way of supporting the people who live here and so we are looking for people to join our team of Support Workers who share our values and want to enable the people we support to have a great life.Newholme is set in a quiet, rural neighborhood, with a large outdoor area with space for seating, activities and some gardening. Inside the building, each person we support has their own room which has been decorated to reflect their own personal interests and hobbies, from trains to snakes!As a Support Worker in our team you will be working with the people we support to go about their daily lives. You’ll help those we support get washed and dressed, eat and drink anything else that they may need your support with. You’ll also help the people we support keep in touch with family and friends, pursue their hobbies and go out for fun days out, such as to the beach or on walks into the surrounding countryside.We are very supportive at Newholme not just of the people who live here, but also of the team who work here. When you start you will have regular one to ones with your manager to make sure you are settling in well, and this will continue to make sure that you are happy with what you are learning about the role.Why join us

  • Full-time or part-time contracts available
  • £9.00 per hour, £9.90 per hour (nights), £30.50 per sleep in.
