Site Services Engineer / Site Utilities Engineer We are currently seeking a Site Services Engineer for a manufacturing plant on the outskirts of Taunton. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Services Engineer to join an established company in the food industry. The successful Site Services Engineer will have good electrical and mechanical skills with key experience with in a facilities/manufacturing environment. The main purpose of the Site Services Engineer is to ensure the reliability of Steam Boilers, Water, Compressed Air, Effluent and drainage across site also ensure optimum equipment performance, availability & efficiency as part of the overall site performance targets Responsibilities ·Ensure that all engineering work is carried out safely, hygienically, effectively, efficiently and comply with all relevant legislation ·Ensure that all plant and machinery on site is maintained to a high standard, through following a schedule of planned maintenance ·To repair equipment in a timely manner following breakdowns thus keeping downtime to a minimum. ·To identify developments on existing plant and machinery, which could improve efficiency. ·Adopt a quality approach to all aspects of your job. ·Ensure all work undertaken by jobholder is carried out in a safe and proper manner, taking into account the Health and Safety policy. ·Carry out daily visual monitoring of all equipment and machinery. ·To assist other engineers where required to carry out planned maintenance and breakdown work. ·Be receptive to new technologies and be prepared to accept training as and when necessary. ·Work as part of the engineering team and communicate with others as and when necessary to ensure good teamwork and transition of work. To remain flexible in line with the requirements of the engineering department Experience Required ·Ideally, you will have completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering ·BOAS trained ·Legionella Awareness Training ·COSHH experience ·Electrical qualifications Advantageous ·PSSR trained Advantageous ·Knowledge of industrial plant and Machinery. ·Be able to work without supervision and complete tasks to a self-imposed timeline ·Self-motivated ·Able to work at height and in confined spaces. ·Knowledge and Understanding of PSSR & PUWER regulations.
