JOB ROLE: TEACHING ASSISTANTLOCATION: TAUNTONTEMPORARY ROLESALARY: £70 to £80 per day dependent on experienceHOURS: 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to FridayAre you good with children Do you have that special ability to connect with children who have complex needs Do you have the patience to allow them to learn and grow Yes We need you!Along with empathy, enthusiasm, passion, and caring nature, then the rest will come naturally.If you have experience in this field, then that is great. If not, then we can work with you as all SEND children need that special adult to work with them.We just need that commitment to be available to start at 8.30am and be around until 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.We are looking for Teaching assistants to assist pupils in and out of the classroom, on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.Typical duties include: Helping pupils with their learning, often with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing Supervising group activities Setting up equipment for lessons and keeping classrooms safe and tidy Helping develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials Motivating an encouraging pupils Monitoring and recording childrens behaviour and progress Helping with school trips and activities.There may be other duties which the school may wish you to complete, but these will be discussed and training given.The successful candidate would require the following: Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds Good numeracy and literacy IT skills Organisational skills Patience and the ability to manage challenging behaviour.The post holder will be responsible to the Sendco in the first instance.
