Secondary School Tutor Required for 15 hours a week in Taunton Team Educate are looking for a secondary trained teacher to work on a 1:1 basis with a year 9 pupil in Taunton.You would be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a young person in in Year 9 who has been identified as requiring additional support to help achieve her desired level when sitting her GCSEs. You would be required to have good subject knowledge in Maths and English and confident in delivering lessons and task for these subjects.The requirement would be to work 3 hours a day (Monday - Friday) during school hours and provide support in Maths and English. The total hours for the week would be 15 hours per week and this is required on a longer term basis. Due to the current school closures, the sessions may be online and conducted through Zoom, Skype and TEAMs but there is the possibility that these would then need to continue in person, at the care setting. There is also the possibility for these hours to be extended and we may also have other requests for additional tutoring with more children in care.We are looking for qualified teachers throughout Devon, Cornwall, North Somerset, Somerset and Bristol. Lessons will normally be 1-2 hours long and we may be able to offer a full day of lessons working with 2-3 different pupils or part time hours to fit around other commitments. The sessions can be during school hours, in the evenings and on weekends (depending on tutor availability)About the role:
