Production Team Leader - Taunton - £good Manucomm Recruitment are currently recruiting a Production Team leader / Production Manager / Zone leader for a global manufacturer based in Wellington near Taunton. The successful Production Team leader will report into the Zonal Operations manager and will supervise and coach a team of line leaders (3 - 7 Line leaders, approx. 25 staff) ensuring products are produced to the required quality standards. Duties will include: ·Ensuring compliance with PPE, Safety and GMP standards, ·Embedding a safety culture among all colleagues and workforce ·Ensuring all operators are working within defined quality standards ·Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Engineering Departments ·Ensuring Quality Paperwork is completed in accordance with Customer Requirements ·Organising timely supply of Componentry and balancing of Operators to Production lines ·Liaising with Planning team to understand Zone workload and requirements ·Strong Communication skills to develop multi-departmental working relationships with Peers, Senior Managers and operators ·Leadership of team from building and promoting a team environment to absence management and identifying and organising staff training ·Owning and presenting daily line performance boards Key skills required: ·Must have previous supervisory / management experience gained from working in an FMCG environment, ideally food, drink or pharmaceutical ·Ideally have LEAN manufacturing experience - Lean Tools/ techniques i.e. Fishbone, 5 Whys, SPC, Kaizen, SMED, OEE etc ·Must have excellent communication skills ·Be able to prioritise workloads and ensure clean working area in accordance with GMP Benefits: This role offers a good salary together with benefits including, free parking, canteen, pension, 34 days holiday, staff shop, progression opportunities. The successful person may previously have worked as a Team leader, shift supervisor, shift manager, production manager. This is a 39hr per week role
