Job Description

TSR Legal is delighted to assist a Top 200 law firm in the continued growth of the team and as a result, an opportunity has arisen for a Legal Business Support Assistant to join the Taunton office. We are looking for someone who can provide effective supportand proactive assistance to fee earners within the team, so that they can fulfil their daily client and business responsibilities.About this Firm:This is a Top 200 UK Law Firm, providing commercial and private legal services to individuals and businesses across Somerset, Devon and Dorset.They are proud of a regional presence that gives clients the local connections and friendly in-person service they love.   • Work closely with the team to support and proactively assist them in with file/matter management
  • Draft client correspondence as directed/required
  • Assist with credit control/client billing
  • Act as a first point of contact with client on all routine matters such as progress updates and enquiries
  • Proactively manage and review advisors diary, assisting to prepare for appointments and commitments
  • File closure and archiving
  • Responsible for the filing, storage, and correct naming of correspondence and documents on the Peppermint file, to include compliance with the Paperlite Policy
  • Provide holiday cover for absent Team PAs in your department (and in your office where necessary)
  • Team specialist document production (to include some typing and amendments).
  • Scan copying and collating enclosures
  • Be first point of contact for the central file opening team
  • Be the first point of contact with HR for HR matters relating to that team, to include sickness and holiday absence/cover
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all practice and client documentation and/or information.
  • Observe the Firm’s standards of quality management in all respects.
  • Undertake any additional duties which from time to time may be requested.
About YouWorking closely with the fee earners in the Private Client department, this role would best suit someone who is pro-active and enthusiastic, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Strong organisational andadministrative skills are essential, along with the ability to multi-task and a confident telephone manner. More technical requirements include excellent IT skills including Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel, AdobePro, Peppermint, and database administration.Experience in the legal sector or professional services would be beneficial.As with all our staff, our ultimate ask is that you are client focused, with excellent client care and communication skills, and pride in your presentation and appearance.The BenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary, you will also get:
