We have a fantastic new opportunity available for a leading food manufacturer. Here at Futures, we are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer due to the continued growth and expansion of the company.Shift - 4 on 4 off (DAYS / NIGHTS)Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this fast-paced production environment. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgetedmachine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit.Key responsibilities;To complete planned mechanical / electrical maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs, installation and modification to plant and services.Maintain and repair plant and equipment to high Engineering, Quality, Safety and Hygiene standardsEnsure all Engineering work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Health and Safety Legislation and current Company StandardsLearn and understand the correct operation of each piece of equipment so as to know what effect there is on parameter changes and what can be achieved by the equipmentFault diagnose and complete breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment and site servicesManage your workload and time plan seeking out improvements and running repairsUndertake training and up-skilling programmes as directed by business needs and to keep abreast of technological advancements and maintain skill levelYou will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and to help plan / implement modifications to new and existing equipment.Ensure an in depth-handover is provided to oncoming shift, to include Engineering, manufacturing & warehouse issuesBe available to cover for holidays and sickness with appropriate noticeUndertake any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of the roleSuccessful Multi Skilled Engineers will be/have;Previous experience of working within a food/FMCG manufacturing environmentTime served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C and G Level 3 qualifications or higherDegree / HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical EngineeringWhy work hereThe company value their people and want to provide a platform to be creative and grow to their full potential.
