Job Description

* Role can be based in Taunton or Bristol.* Preferred CPI or CII qualified but not essential.* 3-5 years insolvency experienceOur client is an award-winning accountancy firm, practicing across the South West and London. They are looking for an Insolvency Senior Administrator to join their team, the role can be based in their Taunton or Bristol office.This is a fantastic career progression opportunity with real potential for advancement within the company.Excellent benefits package including private healthcare.Key Purpose To provide a high level of service supporting individuals and companies through crisis. The Insolvency Team specialises in expert support and advice for the delivery of swift rescue, restructuring or insolvency.You will focus on day-to-day case management of a mixed portfolio such as liquidations, administrations, and bankruptcies. You will manage both commercial and compliance issues under your control and be the primary point of contact for directors, debtors, creditorsand other stakeholders. There will be occasional trips to site, sometimes for extended periods.You will be responsible for ensuring those unlucky enough to find themselves involved in insolvency receive the best possible "client" experience and will be a primary contact for their day-to-day queries. You will need to ensure the staff you supervise arecoached, developed, and supported so they can thrive within their roles.You will be an ambassador of the firms values.Key Objectives * To efficiently manage a case ensuring statutory and regulatory tasks are completed within timeframes.* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure efficient management of the case and communication of progress and to be the principle point of contact for any cases in your portfolio.* To draft reports and statutory documents which require little input at manager and partner level.* Carry out pre-insolvency investigations into the company or individuals acts and dealings.* Preparation of financial summaries of the debtors financial position and outcome of the insolvency.* Build confidence and commercial awareness on other areas of insolvency work to identify opportunities to add value.* Being a port of call for other colleagues for technical queries.* Providing possible solutions for issues as they arise.* Manage your time efficiently and work with effective reporting and communication with your managers.* Develop relationships with third-parties.* Review assignments resolving all material issues before it is passed up for further review.* Provide support to junior staff.* Support management with the wider team portfolio as well as looking over any portfolio under the supervisors direct control.* Assist with administrative duties as required by the firm.* Raise bills in connection with your work as required.* Take an active role in team meetings and participate in working groups to develop and direct training needs. * Maintain your technical knowledge through CPD.Key Skills & Competencies* A high degree of personal motivation, organisational skills and ability to manage your workload.* Flexibility and approachability under pressure.* You must be proactive, tenacious and always show initiative.* Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.* The ability to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively at all levels.* The ability to work closely with other members of the team and management team.* A learning mind-set with the ability to receive feedback to implement corrective advice ensuring achievement of key objectives and service delivery.* A high level of professionalism to deliver "client" service excellence.* The ability to build excellent relationships with all colleagues.* The ability to multitask and meet deadlines when required.* Effective delegation and time management.* To understand when it is necessary to escalate either technical or service experience issues to the manager, partner or support specialists.Key Knowledge & Behaviours* Planning and organisation.* Familiarity with IT systems.* Familiarity and an understanding of the relevant statutory compliance including, GDPR, Money Laundering and the Health and Safety at Work Act.* Professional, personable, presentable, and punctual.* Good technical knowledge of bookkeeping.* Good understanding of insolvency related legislation.* Supervisory experience of staff.* Full driving licence, plus unrestricted access to a car.* Organised, accurate, and able to plan the use of time efficiently.* Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with both stakeholders, team members and colleagues.* Excellent communication skills.Qualifications * Preferred CPI or CII qualified but not essential. (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency)* 4 years experience.
