Job Description

Do you have experience working in an Information Security position, with an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer qualification to show for it Are you an excellent communicator with a passion to implement and drive new security processes and proceduresThen this role could be perfect for you.A prestigious law firm in Taunton is looking for an Information Security Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Information Security & Data Protection team, you will be crucial in providing advice and guidance, along with practical implementation solutions for all aspects of information security.The firm is in a position to carry out online interviews and online onboarding if need be.You will:

  • Provide first class advice and guidance, along with implementation solutions for all aspects of information security
  • Undertake the internal information security audit plan across the companies support functions and client facing teams
  • Carry out information security due diligence on all new supplies, and also manage the process for existing suppliers
  • Run the firm’s information security risk management, governance and business related processes
  • Develop and manage information security awareness training
  • Assist with creating new policies in line with law, regulations and information security best practices
    • Your skills and experience:
  • You will have a minimum of two years in a similar information security position
  • You will have a ISO 27001 Lead Implementer qualification
  • You have a solid understanding of relevant regulations and
  • You have a high level of autonomy and can implement your own ideas and decisions
  • You will ideally be from either a legal firm, or relevant professional services
