Job Description

Field Maintenance Engineer - Homebased covering the Exeter, Somerset, Devon, Bournemouth, Dorset and surrounding areas Opportunity:Are you currently working as a Field Maintenance Engineer looking for your next career opportunity Does your experience include diagnosing, fault finding, repairing, commissioning and installing medical equipment / machines Are you happy to travel mainlyto hospitals in around the Exeter, Somerset, Devon, Bournemouth, Dorset and surrounding areas Want to work for a global medical device manufacturing company with excellent career development If yes then this is the role for you.Your role as a Field Maintenance Engineer will involve fixing, servicing, commissioning and installing medical device equipment at customer sites mainly hospitals. You will be covering the Exeter, Somerset, Devon, Bournemouth, Dorset and surrounding areas.Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding and repairing medical equipment mainly at hospitals.
  • Commissioning and installing machines.
  • Effectively servicing a broad range of machines in accordance with manufacturers and local UK requirements.
  • Efficiently diagnosing faults and repairing machines.
  • Connecting, managing, trouble shooting, and helping to resolve lower level device integration and network connectivity problems with connected devices.
  • Flexibly providing emergency cover and undertaking emergency maintenance on site.
  • Completion of detailed service reports, maintaining accurate stock records and maintaining complete monthly reports.
  • Providing support and coaching to customers where required.
This is a brand new full time permanent job opportunity that has been created due to expansion really suited for someone doing a similar role who is looking for your next career move.   • Electro-mechanical engineering background supported by a technical qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC).
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer (Medical industry preferred but flexible on this).
  • Experience of working in a highly customer driven organisation.
