We are currently working in collaboration with a leading telecoms network provider with locations across the UK. The position will involve working on FTTP schemes involving PIA work across the South West and Midlands.This position offers excellent long-term career growth potential along with extensive training. You will have the flexibility to manage your own workload offering a better work-life balance.Salary to £40k | Company Vehicle & Fuel card | Pension | 25 Days HolidayKey Essentials:* Understanding and an in-depth knowledge of the Physical Infrastructure Access Network (PIA)* Surveying existing PIA infrastructure including ducts to ensure capacity for new fibre installations and identifying any potentials areas that will require upgrading* Photographing and documenting PIA / Openreach network infrastructure* Confirm or redirect routes and write up recommendation reports on the suitability* Managing expectations and dealing with any issues encountered with could affect works progress such as wayleaves or re-routes* Planning civils works for FTTP as needed including narrow trenching* Creating job packs to pass back to the client for engineering works to be carried outRequirements:* It is essential that you have previous experience of surveying Openreach / PIA for FTTP* Ideally be qualified with S6 (PIA Duct Survey), S5 (PIA Pole Survey) and NRSWA accreditation* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office PackagesDue to the nature of this role, you must be flexible to travel throughout the South West and Midlands - lodge will be paid#surveyor #utilities #streetwork #NRSWA #excavation #jointing #fibre #splicing #splice #PIA #rural #urban #faults #connections #manmanagement #cabinet #chamber #telecom #FTTP #FTTC #FTTP #FTTX #blownfibre #duct #desilt #blockage #subduct #microduct #openreach #cityfibre #virginmedia #gigaclear Required skills
