Job Description

Chief Thin Film Engineer (PVD Engineer)Taunton, SomersetPermanentMeridian are currently recruiting for a well-respected, progressive and market leading Manufacturer based in Taunton, Somerset. The company is seeking a New Cheif Thin Film Engineer (PVD) to join their team.The Role:

  • You will be responsible for various PVD (metals) deposition processes and systems and developing processes, products and workflow.
  • Covering the Thin Film manufacturing areas you will assume overall responsibility for manufacturing methods, process robustness, control of equipment, manufacturing documentation, compliance to manufacturing standards and drive manufacturing methods and product improvement.
  • For Thin Film products you will also lead product design review and offer customers design advice and process support
  • Responsible for a diverse range of manufacturing and production activities.
    • Experience and qualities needed:
  • Relevant Degree in Pysics or Engineering or significant experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
  • Thin Film metallisation including (PVD), sputtering, eBeam evaporation, Photolithography and Electroplating;
  • Chemical and Plasma cleaning/etching
  • Design of components
  • Knowledge of end user requirements for assembly of microelectronic circuits/modules
