Job Description

Planning Administrator - Fixed TermThe Stewart Milne Group provides innovative solutions for residential homes and commercial developments through our Homes and Timber Systems Divisions across the UK. We work on over 350 live projects per year, supporting customers on-site and building timber kits across our two bespoke factories in Westhill - Aberdeenshire, Witney - Oxfordshire and in an additional hub space in Grangemouth. We have regional offices in Aberdeenshire, Glasgow and Witney and the team operate across several sectors including, private housing, affordable housing, student accommodation, medical facilities, hotels, and education. Working with market-leading precision-engineered build systems, architects, surveyors and design teams, the division delivers noticeable benefits for our clients.Reporting to the Senior Planner you will be a key member of the planning team with a central role in ensuring that the system dates are accurate to allow us to generate reports for the factories, sales, design office etc. The role includes entering data into the company ERP system, monitoring demand and capacities, producing reports and there is high degree of liaison with other departments required.Due to current COVID restrictions, the Planning Administrator will be Home Based until our offices in Tannochside fully re-open. This role is a fixed term contract until December 2021.Accountabilities

  • Use information to accurately plan customer delivery dates
  • Timeously and accurately input data to the system
  • Provide accurate planning information identifying any areas of risk or variance and report to your Line Manager
  • Working closely with the relevant departments co-ordinate and communicate project date information.
  • Essential Technical Expertise
  • Good IT skills – Axapta (beneficial but not essential), MS Project, Excel, SharePoint
  • Good analytical skills; can large and complex volumes of data and draw conclusions / recommendations for action
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of planning principles: demand / capacities / resource levelling (would be an advantage but not essential)
