Job Description

Position; Van Driver / Trade Counter Assistant Location; Tamworth, StaffordshireSalary; £23,000 per annum About the role; Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a multi-national business across the UK who are seeking a Van Driver / Trade Customer Assistant on a permanent basis in Tamworth. The successful candidate will have a Full UK Clean Licence along with van drivingexperience (preferably 3.5t) and excellent customer service skills with the ability to speak to a variety of customers face to face.You will also be responsible for doing deliverys for the Tamworth branch and working very closely with both teams in both Tamworth & Burton-on-Trent.The working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm and then alternative Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm.Responsibilities;

  • Picking and preparing orders for customers
  • Driving company 3.5t Sprinter van to various locations
  • Completing deliveries
  • Speak to customers face to face and always providing excellent customer service
  • Responsible for goods in and goods out
  • Ensuring the operation within the team runs smoothly and assisting with any extra tasks that may be needed
Skills Required;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (clean)
  • Previous driving experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Good time management
  • Ability to work towards deadlines
