Job Description

Trainee Accounts Assistant | Permanent | Tamworth | £22,000 - £25,000 plus studyAre you a finance graduate or AAT studier looking for your first hands-on accounting roleAn opportunity has arisen with one of our longstanding clients, who are market leaders in their field, and have ambitious growth plans which will allow your career to grow with them. To support you through the early stages of your career, study support willbe provided.Once you have passed your probation period there may be some flexibility for hybrid working, although with such a friendly team, being in the office can itself be viewed as a benefit.Whilst your main area of responsibility will initially be sales ledger and credit control, you will also be able to demonstrate your understanding of how this key function contributes to the finance department.Key areas of responsibility will ultimately include:

  • Assisting with management accounts preparation.
  • Managing sales ledger.
  • Process sales invoices and credits.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure all invoices are correctly issued.
  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting company debts.
  • Evaluating new credit requests and setting up of terms and conditions of credit.
  • Purchase ledger duties.
