Our client is a well-established specialist international trade solutions company with offices throughout the World. A well-respected freight forwarder, offering inbound and outbound services mainly for both trades to and from Australia, New Zealand, SouthAfrica and The Far East. Our clients service incorporates both modes of transport by sea and air with the co-operation of established overseas agency networks within these specific trades. We are now recruiting for a Sea Freight Imports Team Leader based in the Midlands office which is in Tamworth Your role will involve managing a team of 5 sea freight importers whilst being a hands-on team member, looking after a few of your own sea freight accounts whilst also leading the team You and your team will handle the full Sea freight imports process including, quotes, sea freight bookings, all sea freight documentation, and clearances using CargowiseIn order to apply for this role, you will have experience and skills in the following...* Strong knowledge of Sea freight imports forwarding* Be a senior clerk looking for the next step or have managed/ led a small team * Working knowledge of Cargowise * You must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a very strong team environment.* You will be familiar with working in a pressurised environment and working to tight deadlines.Package and Benefits * Salary £35,000 to £40,000 * Contributory Pension* Bonus based on performance. * 25 days holiday* 1 day a week work from home
