Job Description

GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc.Are you an experienced Health & Safety or QHSE Manager Do you have a grocery logistics or industrial background Ready for your next big challengeHere at GXO, were looking for a full-time, permanent, experienced QHSE Manager to join us at our Premier Foods site in Tamworth. Working office hours, Monday to Friday (with a bit of flexibilitythis is logistics after all!), youll leadeverything safety-related on site, driving a positive safety culture and ensuring that QHSE is well and truly on everyones radar.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary of up to £39,700per annum.   • Work as part of the site management team, ensuring that all health, safety and environmental matters are dealt with efficiently, effectively and in line with legislation and best practice
  • Champion the GXO philosophy in the management and communication of QHSE issues for the site
  • Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work for all tasks carried out across the whole operation, including both warehousing and transport
  • Carry out regular and accurate QHSE-related reporting, feeding this back to the management team and wider site as part of the monthly health and safety meetings that youll lead
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced logistics distribution environment, preferably with exposure to retail, FMCG or grocery distribution
  • An excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental legislative framework with either an IOSH qualification (essential) or NEBOSH (desirable)
  • Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to effectively influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to drive a strong safety culture from the ground up, inspiring and motivating your team to continually strive for continuous improvement
