Our global manufacturing client is looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for their Mechanical Drill, Laser Drilling and Routing departments. The applicant will require to have a knowledge of CNC machining equipment and Co2 / UV laser processing.Teamwork, high quality standards and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The Process Engineer must be able to work proactively, and independently whilst focused on deadlines, as this is a laser production role and not a laser developmentrole.Applicants considered will be from a strong engineering background either through apprenticeship, with an HNC/HND qualification or at graduate degree level in Physics, Optical engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or experimental science subjectand be able to demonstrate good practical and problem-solving capabilities.A solid hands-on engineering employment background is extremely beneficial for this role, and knowledge of working with lasers would be extremely advantageous.You will carry out activities such as: production support; new product introduction; process development and improvement activities. You will be able to demonstrate good technical knowledge and a practical "hands-on skill set" along with core engineeringskills including data analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement.Candidate requirements
