Job Description

This highly successful freight forwarding business seeks to appoint an Ocean Freight Supervisor to be based at its busy Tamworth operation.£34,000 - £37,000 + bonus

  • A hands-on role responsible for the daily branch operational activities
  • Supervising a small team handling mostly ocean import shipments with some air freight and cross trade business
  • Regular financial monitoring and reporting to the General Manager
  • Working closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure that new and existing clients receive an excellent level of service
  • The team is a small but very successful branch of the UK ocean freight division
  • Office based Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
    • Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding experience
  • Solid background in coordinating ocean import shipments including the organisation of bookings, deliveries, customs formalities and invoicing
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager
