Job Description

Our Client, a leading construction company based in Staffordshire are currently recruiting a Maintenance Operative to join their professional, established business on a part-time flexible basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for all general maintenance in and around the offices and grounds.As the Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the following daily duties:

  • Arriving on site unlock main gates
  • Bringing newspapers and milk into the building
  • Ensuring bin store is unlocked (MONDAYS ONLY)
  • Opening main doors and front door then disabling alarms
  • Check diary in Business Lounge and upstairs for messages/instructions etc
  • Ensure photo copiers are switched on also ensure adequate replenishment paper is available
  • Putting papers on the table in reception
  • Taking milk through to Business Centre and ensure bottles are washed and distributed to fridge upstairs
  • Treating the car park during winter - salt and grit
    • Along with the above daily duties, as the Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for:
  • Setting up Meeting Rooms as required including any amendments to furniture layout
  • Weekly Health & Safety Checks (sometimes done at weekends)
  • Checking Fire alarms - monthly
  • Checking security alarms
  • Health and Safety checks every 3 months (weekend)
  • Outside contractors (weekends)
  • Removing moss from paths (weekend)
  • Attendance at Health & Safety Meetings
  • Meter Readings
    • In return the Maintenance Operative will receive a basic salary of £4,489pa. Working hours are 7.5 hours per week Monday to Wednesday 7.00am-9.30am *FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED*Please Note: We do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
