Job Description

**working for a market leading, global manufacturer based in Tamworth****Double day shift, with plenty of progression available**Client DetailsThis leading manufacturer is going through a sustained period of growth and there is a lot of scope for this role to develop & for you to step up, assuming more responsibility long term.DescriptionAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked with maintaining the operational functionality of the facility to ensure maximum efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness targets.Working hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2PM & 2pm - 10pm rotating + 1 Saturday in 6.You will also be responsible for:

  • Carrying out daily maintenance. This will include planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance, keeping accurate maintenance logs and records
  • Reactive breakdowns, fault analysis and timely repairs to plant machinery and equipment
  • Particular attention to mixing plant and extrusion machinery and equipment to deliver increased quality and efficiencies.
  • Installation, modifications and refurbishment of machinery and equipment, including site utility services, ensuring compliance with relevant pieces of legislation
  • Assisting in Project Delivery and Improvement projects
  • Performing maintenance on all machinery and equipment and ensure it complies with the Health and Safety regulations and that all maintenance in carried out using Safe Systems of Work
  • Liaising effectively with and supervise all external maintenance contractors and ensure that they follow Health and Safety standards
ProfileThe successful applicant will be a competent Maintenance Engineer (Multiskilled) within commutable distance of Tamworth and experienced within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful applicant will have:
  • Recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
  • Knowledge of fault finding on both electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety & Safe Systems of Work
  • Able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of building products sector would be advantageous
  • Sound communication & training skills
