Job Description

We are curently recruiting for a leading manufacturing company based in Atherstone. Our client is growing and as such is looking to recruit a number of machine operators to join them on a temporary basis with a view to permanent contracts.As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of various machinery. You will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining the machines to produce high-quality productsaccording to established standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing flawless output are essential to excel in this position.Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare machinery for production runs based on specifications.
  • Operate the machines during production, monitoring their performance to ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the machines to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and address minor issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to maintain a steady workflow and meet production targets.
  • Document production data and report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining various types of machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work consistently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects when required.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
