Job Description

Job RoleLogisitics Systems EngineerLocationTamworthSalary£45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits and bonusRole ProfileCast UK are supporting our client, who is a leading technology company that are looking to recruit a logistics engineer/coordinator with extensive experience in warehousing, warehouse coordination and/or WMS systems, who has a positive and enthusiastic mindset,passion for logistics and strong motivation. Someone who has the capabilities to build up a strong relationship with all stakeholders involved and provide outstanding customer service. Our ideal candidate is a decisive and flexible problem-solver with a stronghands-on mentality that is used to work in teams but can also work independently.Key Accountabilities:

  • Support implementation of Samsung SDS Cello WMS/TMS by means of setup and configuration, Support testing and training Super users of LSP on system and process
  • Be system and process owner from SDS side and continuously optimize warehouse utilization and efficient routing
  • Initiate, evaluate and realize warehouse, process and/or system improvements with LSP and Samsung SDS centralized Innovations team
  • Coordinate warehouse, process and/or system changes and support the creation of a business case proposition
  • Interact with LSP warehouse management and coordinators regarding daily warehouse operation, compliancy, issues and improvements
  • Be involved in KPI monitoring and analysis, and periodical (weekly) operations review sessions with LSP
  • Coordinate communication and activities between SDS central management team and LSP
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics/SCM
  • Significant experience in warehouse processes and WMS systems;
  • 5+ years engineer/ super user experience in a logistics environment;
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker with the perseverance to finish what you start;
  • Hands-on mentality, eager to take initiative new opportunities and deliver targets;
  • Experience with WMS / TMS or ERP systems;
  • Good MS Office skills;
  • Open to other cultures and social.
