Logistics Specialist

Logistics SpecialistWe are recruiting for a Logistics Specialist to join our Tamworth based client.As a Logistics Specialist you will need to be:

Degree qualified preferred but not necessary with demonstrable experience within a custom process and transportation logistics discipline
Ability to analyse and interpret data with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and coordination, with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to influence others
IT literacy particularly with Microsoft Office packages
Data analysis and reporting
Warehouse logistics IT system handling
Understanding of Supply Chain Principles
Strong organisation and time management skills
Takes a hands-on approach with self-starting ability and inquisitive nature
Ability to work as part of a team
Automotive background preferred but not essential

Details:

Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 09.00 - 17.30 , Friday 09.00 - 15.00 (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)
Location: Tamworth
Duration: Permanent

Role of Logistics Specialist:

Coordination with the forwarding agency for the custom process.
Coordination with the transportation service providers for day to day inwards & outwards transportation process.
Coordination on required warehouse works from other departments regarding invoicing and transportation arrangements.
Generating reports based on analytic data achieved from the warehouse process, custom process and the system work.
Creation of new and improved, documentation and implementation of internal processes and procedures.
Management and review of regular processes relating to the custom and transportation process.
Control of overall custom process KPI
