Job Description

Based in Tamworth the role of Logistics Operator will involve ensuring that all scheduled deliveries are completed in-line with the customers expectations. This excellent opportunity offers an excellent basic salary of £25,000 per year, an annual bonusscheme and pension, working 6am-6pm on a 4on-4off shift pattern.Client DetailsA world leader in the manufacture of renewable fuels based in Tamworth.DescriptionThe role of Logistics Operator in Tamworth will involve:

  • Delivering the schedule by utilising resources efficiently.
  • Establishing good working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring customer service is maximised.
  • Managing all driver operational / delivery queries.
  • Re-routing, scheduling, and arranging deliveries.
  • Ordering of all fuel for loading through required systems.
  • Providing support to Transport Managers.
  • Monitoring haulier performance closely.
  • Crisis management and investigation.
ProfileThe successful Logistics Operator candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in a transport office environment.
  • Knowledge of vehicle scheduling/planning.
  • A strong sense of Customer focus.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong UK geographical knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • IT skills to an intermediate standard.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
