Job Description

GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc.Are you a HR Manager with logistics experience looking for something to get your teeth stuck into Do you like the idea of working on a brand-new contract with one of the UKs most well-known supermarket brands Are you ready for your next challengeWere looking for a HR Manager to join us on a 12-month maternity cover, based at our Premier Foods site in Tamworth. As part of the site leadership team, youll be responsible for integrating HR practices, driving change and shaping thepeople plan for the site in line with the operational agenda.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000.00per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to workscheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.What youll do on a typical day:

  • Build and drive the site HR people plan to support our overall business plan and develop our employee relations agenda
  • Effectively manage all key people processes through the senior management team to achieve positive results around absence, voluntary attrition, internal progression, ER and engagement
  • Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees to ensure current knowledge of employee legislation
  • Facilitate harmonious employee relations with the site teams and respective trade union representatives to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • A proven track record in a similar HR management role, preferably in a large logistics operation (a CIPD qualification would be a bonus)
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and experience of dealing with trade unions and associated collective agreements
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of successfully managing change and cultural development
