Job Description

HGV Class 1 Shunter DriversWe are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Shuunter Drivers in the Tamworth area for our client who deals in the automotive sector. HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers will be moving trailers on the yard and between depots. Work will be long term and ongoing throughout the year. There is some handball when required but this is very minimum as trailers are tipped by warehouse staff. Our client has a well maintained modern fleet of vehicles and turbergs (for shunting)As HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 6 months Class 1 experience OR a new pass Class 1 with a minimum 6 months Class 2 experience
  • CPC and Digi Card
  • Must be able to pass the training & Induction
  • The training/induction will last around 3 hours and will involve: Questions on the Highway Code, Questions on Working Time Directive, Questions on Drivers Hours, Operation of lift and moving, Getting in and out of the vehicle, Split coupling procedures and a a practical driving assessment
    • HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers Details:
  • 14:00 Start daily (Monday to Friday)
  • Saturday and Sunday work available as overtime
  • Location: Tamworth
  • Duration: Ongoing Long Term
    • PAY RATES - LTD
  • Monday to Friday - £13.00
  • Saturday - £15.00
  • Sunday - £20.50
    • PAY RATES - PAYE
  • Monday to Friday - £11.00/Hr
  • Saturday - £13.00/Hr
  • Sunday - £16.50/Hr
  • After 12 weeks - 12.82/Hour (PAY PARITY)
