Job Description

TrophyStore.co.uk Ltd, Europe’s largest online retailer of trophies, medals and awards, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager seeking a fresh challenge to join its busy, expanding business in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking Manager who has a passion for making a direct impact on the future growth and success of 3 businesses within our ecommerce group.As Finance Manager, youll have a friendly, yet discrete professional manner, with a mindset to continuously drive the business forward. Youll be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance tasks across our group of 3 companies, ensuring all financial controls, processes and procedures are accurately maintained, while continually demonstrating excellent organisation and communication skills with a strong, supportive, hands-on management style.Accountability and key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and mentoring a small finance team
  • All aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping
  • Daily bank reconciliations including multi-currency accounts
  • Daily online sales reconciliations
  • Cash-flow forecasting and cash management
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Overseeing month end payroll
  • Preparation and analysis of budgets forecasting
  • Quarterly VAT reconciliations, both UK and overseas
  • Preparing year end accounts to trial balance
  • Creating and explaining monthly P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Accurate understanding and analysis of all financial aspects throughout each business
  • Preparation of monthly KPI’s
  • Skills and experience required:
  • Experience of working as a Finance Manager with a commercial awareness and excellent mentoring skills
  • A recognised finance qualification; ACCA, ACA, CIMA. We will also consider candidates who are QBE (Qualified by Experience)
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAGE 50 and MS Excel (pivot tables, look ups, advanced formulas etc.)
  • Experience of using Office 365
  • Working knowledge of payroll, RTI and pension auto-enrolment (desirable)
  • Understanding of internet merchant accounts, PayPal and eBay transactions
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure
  • Accurate attention to detail is paramount
  • Have an analytical mindset
  • Understand and confidently articulate the impact Brexit has made on the UK economy
  • Must have a passionate interest for continual learning
