Job Description

Expeditor required. My client are a manufactuer of Power Generation and HVAC equipment in Birmingham and are currently recruiting for an Expeditor. The ideal candidate will come from a Purchasing background, be highly proficient with Microsoftsuite, will idealy have some MRP experinece and be based within a commutable distance of Tamworth.Expeditor Position Overview

  • Purchase order placement based on Customers demand
  • Engage suppliers with RFQs at New Product Introduction stage
  • Working with Products across; Rail, Automotive and Power Generation manufacturing
  • Purchasing a wide range of parts including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and machined items; off the shelf parts; services and consumables
  • Consolidate supply base and lead resource project
  • Support and improve PPM target
  • Mitigate cost increase risks
  • Ensure NPI project deliveries on time
Expeditor Position Requirements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable talking to suppliers on the phone, in person and in writing (email)
  • Strong organisation skills and able to take a methodical approach
  • Competent in the use of MS Office - Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of an MRP based system would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Tamworth
  • Full UK Driving licence
Expeditor Position Remuneration
  • Salary £25,000 - £28,000 DOE
  • Working Hours - 07:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday / Fridays off
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Bonus Scheme
