Job Description

New permanent opportunity with our UK wide Fuel Operations clientDo you have an automation/systems/PLC background in the Oil & Gas sectorDo you have an understanding of SCADA/DCS/ESD Control SystemsBasic salary £35-40,000+ an additional £6,500 in allowances+ Annual BonusLocation: Tamworth areaIn this role you will be supporting the Systems Manager in the day to development of the technology and systems on a bulk fuels site.Other key aspects to the role -

  • PLC and SCADA Maintenance
  • Develop and maintain the Process Control System
  • Deveopment of the new SCADA system
  • Fault finding
  • Procurement of equipment and services
  • Configuring system changes
    • Experience required
  • String PLC/Controls background
  • Understanding of SCADA/DCS/ESD Control Systems and the elements of the systems.
  • Understanding of Control System network arrangements and can read Network Architecture Diagrams.
  • Is familiar with the preparation of Control Philosophy and Control Narrative documents and can prepare and modify them.
  • An experienced PLC programmer with an ability to debug systems.
  • Familiar with HMIs and how to modify.
  • Experience in configuring system alarms and their priorities
  • Has experience with the steps needed to ensure Cyber Security of Control Systems is applied and maintained.
  • COMAH site experience - DESIRABLE
  • Willing to learn how to maintain specific vendor PLCs, Flow Computers and SCADA systems - training will be provided.
  • Wiling to join 1-in-3 call-out rota to support 24x7 operations.
  • Must be willing to travel to site occasionally for site activities.
