Job Description

Job Role: CNC Turner OperatorLocation: TamworthWorking hours: Day ShiftPay: £16.00 p/hr DOE - Monday - Friday (10hr Day Shift)Job RoleOptima are looking for a skilled CNC Turner Operator to join our Precision Manufacturing client based in Tamworth. responsible for the efficient setting and operating of the CNC Turning machines, achieving, or improving upon planned standard times and qualitylevels through program improvementsOur Ideal Candidate

  • To interpret engineering drawings and ensure optimal programs are created and products are produced as effectively as possible to the required quality standards
  • To have the ability to use a range of measuring equipment together with working knowledge of inspection procedures
  • To work as part of a machine shop team and interfacing with production control, design and production supervision.
  • A proven history in CNC Setting and Operating Turning machines.
  • Experience with changing their own tools and adjusting where offsets is essential.
  • Able to correctly interpret engineering drawings.
  • Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
  • Full training will be given as they use in house machines.
  • Grinding or rotary cutting experience would be an advantage.
