We specialise in providing managed IT support to small and medium sized businesses from a single user to 500 users spread across multiple officesaround the UK. Our friendly team of highly skilled IT technicians will advise, consult and help you get the most out of the latest IT solutions and services available.Overview:We are seeking an ambitious and talented individual to join our apprenticeship programme and kick start their career in the technology sector.This role will see you working from our office in the Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, which is based close to the Tamworth town centre, A5 and the M42 J10.[Free onsite parking is available to those who drive (being able to drive is a preferred skill to have)As well as on hand mentoring from our team of technical experts you will also receive first class training, and a desirable salary package, along with other benefits.Full information available upon request.Main role / Responsibilities:[will include but not be limited to]:

  • 1st Line Support Deskanswering calls and providing remote support
  • Building, maintaining, and configuring workstations to client specification
  • Assisting and supporting software deployments and project tasks when required
  • Broadband, Telecom and Network fault troubleshooting
  • Building cloud/on premise VoIP telephone systems
  • General Maintenance and updates
Desiredskills and qualities:
  • A strong passion for technology is a must
  • Any previous experience assisting with technical issues would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic and professional attitude
Entry requirements:You need to have 5 GCSEs:
  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSEs grade A-C in any other subject

Salary £10k - £12k per annum, dependant on experience.Future prospects:Upon completion of this 15 months apprenticeship programme, the successful applicant would normally be awarded full time employment at Blue Footprint.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
