Job Description

WE NEED YOU!Accounts AssistantBased in TamworthMonday to Friday - 9.00am till 5.00pmUp to £30,000 per annumPermanent contractFull training will be provided.We are on the pursuit to find a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who is exploring their next opportunity! Its exciting times ahead for our growing client in Tamworth who is looking to expand the small accounts team and develop their current process.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team setting. The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the financedepartment.The perfect scenario;

  • Organisational skills - in managing supplier accounts, invoices, and payment activities.
  • Excellent attention to detail - in spotting errors, discrepancies and/or potential issues.
  • Providing excellent customer service - to positively impact the likelihood of timely payments to suppliers and maintain good working relationships.
  • Resilience - in dealing with challenging suppliers and remain focused on achieving payment targets.
  • Proficiency - in using Sage or Sage Line 50 to maintain accurate records of suppliers accounts, transactions, and payment activities.
  • Analytical thinking - to identify payment patterns and trends that may pose a potential risk and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
  • Team player - the ability to collaborate to resolve supplier issues.
The non-negotiables;
  • Experienced in navigating Sage AND/OR Sage Line 50.
  • Strong IT knowledge.
  • Positive attitude to work and a determined perseverance.
