Test EngineerCardiff£30,000-£35,000Home Working – Flexible Working– 33 days annual leave Day-to-day responsibilities· Create automated routines to test the customer facing screens and the API’s they rely on· Assist with the load/performance testing of our main products to ensure they meet demand · Provide guidance on areas where load or performance testing should be utilised to help achieve business goals· Analyse user stories and acceptance criteria for validity and feasibility· Devise and implement detailed test plans from user stories and acceptance criteria· Identify, report and track defects and inconsistencies in a variety of software products· Provide support and documentation to aid developers in resolving issues· Have responsibility for the quality of our product output Skills RequiredEssential· Several years’ experience of a range of software testing methodologies, tools & techniques· Several years’ experience of creating automated testing scripts using industry tools (JMeter/Selenium/Postman)· Several years’ experience of performing automated load/performance and regression testing· Experience of working within an Agile/Scrum development environment· An excellent grasp of language and the ability to produce clearly written documentation· Good time management skills and the ability to set and work to deadlinesAdvantageous · Experience of embedding automated test scripts within a continuous deployment process· Experience of security and privacy issues in the software design lifecycle· Experience using Microsoft Azure & Visual Studio, OctopusDeploy, TestRail or equivalents· Experience of software development using languages such as C#.net, VB.net or JavaBenefits· A great team-working environment· Fair and flexible working arrangements wherever possible, including working from home, job sharing, flexible shifts and time in lieu· 25 days annual leave + bank holidays· Contributory pension· Discounted gym membership· Genuine Career Development – personal development plans, 1:1’s, annual appraisals· Tech training budget for industry recognised qualifications and accreditation· Free tea and coffeeIf you would like to apply for this role or find out some more information then please send your CV to
