We are currently recruiting for aDepartment Managerfor a luxury furniture retailerat their showroom based in Llantrisant. The retailer has a history of being family owned and operated and is currently going through a fantastic period of growth, with the track record of internal progression the opportunitieswill be there for the right candidate to forge a long-term career in a stable and secure environment.Working as part of the retail store senior management team, you will contribute to the general running of the store. You will support the implementation of the Companys strategic plan across the departments under your control. You will utilise your departmentsupervisors to oversee the team ensuring sales, stock, costs and staff performance are consistently managed.Winning attributes of the successful candidate: You will be hands on when managing the store and look to really understand what is going on around you. You will take full ownership for all the store KPIs and result areas. You will influence performance through effective coaching, training and development of store colleagues. Deliver customer excellence and team engagement throughout the store to promote customer loyalty and new customer opportunities.To be considered for the role of Department Manager you must also be able to demonstrate the following: A proven track record in retail management with experience as a Store, Assistant or Sales Manager from a consultative sales environment. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, develop and motivate people to achieve KPIs whilst delivering excellent customer service. The ability to execute and communicate your business plan approved by the senior management team. A strong background in managing teams.
