Job Description

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join a reputable law firm as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant in South Wales. The well regarded law firm are looking to expanded their established team due to business growth and are seeking a highly motivatedand skilled individual to support the conveyancing department. As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the team of legal professionals in providing exceptional service to clients in the area of property transactions.Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the conveyancing team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  2. Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts, deeds, and agreements.
  3. Conduct thorough research and due diligence on properties, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and regulations.
  4. Coordinate and manage communication with clients, solicitors, real estate agents, and other relevant parties involved in the conveyancing process.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all conveyancing transactions and client details.
  6. Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  7. Assist in managing the conveyancing teams caseload and prioritising tasks effectively.
  8. Handle incoming inquiries from clients and provide timely responses and updates.
  9. Support the team in managing post-completion matters, such as registration and stamp duty submissions.
  10. Stay updated with changes in conveyancing laws and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  11. Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional work environment within the firm.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience within a conveyancing department is essential. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
  2. Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documentation and client information.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  5. Proficiency in using legal software and computer applications relevant to the conveyancing process.
  6. A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the legal profession.
  8. A strong work ethic and a willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  9. A legal assistant certification or relevant legal qualifications will be considered an advantage.
