Job Description

YourRecruit is really pleased to be supporting one of the fastest growing prep schools in the country to recruit their Office Manager.If you are looking to join a business who truly care about their staff, offer fantastic benefits (including free lunch during term time!) and you have experience of working as an Office Manager, or worked within an administrative role within a school setting, then this really is the perfect opportunity for you, so let us tell you more…The Office Manager, will be based within the beautiful grounds of this Tadworth basedprep School, working a 35 hour week between the hours of 8am-6pm, on a rota basis. This is a term time position, plus 5 weeks to be worked during the school holidays. The successful candidate will expect a salary of £25,000 - £27,000 as a fulltime equivalent.As the Office Manager you will be working within a small administration team, managing and leading 2 admin staff. Duties to be undertaken and delegated as appropriate to the office team include, but not limited to:

  • Compiling and printing of the School Calendar.
  • Compiling and printing of programmes for the school e.g. Sports Day, Harvest Festival and concerts.
  • Co-ordinating the organisation of the school photographs.
  • Co-ordinating the sign writing of the honours boards.
  • Updating facilities booking sheet e.g. library.
  • Booking of Church for assemblies and events.
  • Amalgamating termly co-curricular club spreadsheets including communicating to external companies, teachers and parents.
  • Preparing parent forms.
  • Preparing de-reg sheets for all electives.
  • Creating wait-lists where applicable.
  • Chasing outstanding payments.
  • Co-ordinating School trip bookings.
  • Co-ordinating the School Milk provision and paperwork.
  • Updating the ISAMs pupil database.
  • Arranging of staff catering for after school and special events
  • Liaising with the Marketing Assistant in the production of the weekly Chronicle.
  • Helping parents with general enquiries.

  • Who will suit this roleThe successful candidate will have worked within a similar role within a school setting or will have strong administration and management experience. Requirements needed for this role include;
  • Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience of managing a team.
  • Computer literate especially with MS Office packages and databases.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, possessing excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
