Job Description

Senior Network Security EngineerRole SummaryAs part of a 3rd line infrastructure team this role will involve the Configuration, Management and Monitoring of the company network and security infrastructure. This role is focused on the design and delivery of Dunelms security estate whilst also providingadditional resource to the networking team.The individual will have an extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of Cloud and NextGen technologies including AWS Cloud Networking, SilverPeak SD-WAN, Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler Cloud Secure Web Gateway and Cloud Managed WIFI.What Youll Do

  • Ensure the Dunelm Network estate is following security best practises and aligned to accredited bodies
  • Ensure the estate is resilient and is running as efficiently as possible
  • Plan system outages in accordance with the change policy and awareness of agile processes
  • Make recommendations and proposals to improve the infrastructure
  • Diligently carry out and report on capacity
  • Commercially minded
  • Site visits required to investigate/improve and plan infrastructure changes
  • Available for out of hours on-call escalation
Essential Skills
  • Ability to cope with pressurised environment
  • Highly motivated and self directed
  • Core Network Skills to CCNP level
  • Next Gen Firewalls - Ideally Palo Alto
  • Experience of working with Software Defined Networks
  • Experience of AWS Network and security productions - VPC IAM, VPCs, Security Centre
  • Experience of IaC ,Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Experience of architecting/creating/supporting a zero-trust network
  • Experience of achieving Cyber Essentials+ or Similar Accreditations
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of working with SIEM solutions
  • Experience of working with CDN/WAF technologies
  • Networking Monitoring - SNMP, NetFlow, SolarWinds
  • Experience of working with SilverPeak SD-WAN
  • Experience of working Zscaler products
  • PCI Security Compliance aware
  • An understanding of Serverless computing
