Job Description

Main Purpose:

  • Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the Project Management, Installation, Service and Repair functions of the company’s integrated solutions offering for healthcare establishments.
  • To manage your team(s) processes and identify training needs of personnel within it.
  • To maintain Operational, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards as defined by the Operations Director, Director Regulatory Affairs and other responsible members of the company as required.
  • To deputise for the Operations Director as required.

  • Integrated theatre solutions.
  • Communication systems such as Theatre Control Panels, Remote Alarm Panels, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems and Power Systems in all major UK hospitals, theatres departments, PGC and other healthcare departments.
  • Occasional work abroad may be required.
  • Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage your team(s) on a day-to-day basis.
  • Plan, prioritise and liaise with other departments.
  • Facilitate Project Management, Installation, Service and Repair handover from point of order receipt.
  • Orchestrate and marshal resources for efficient Project Management, Installation, Service and Repair process.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, training, and monitoring, including record keeping, expenses, appraisals etc.
  • Maintain a personal programme of continuous professional development with respect to new products, techniques and technologies and report findings, as necessary.
  • Observe and maintain the required technical standards in compliance with relevant agencies.
  • Adhere to all defined quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures and internally set standards.
  • Structure processes to maximise efficiencies.
  • Provide the technical training needs of your team.
  • Liaise with Sales teams to meet project, service and repair requirements.
  • General Duties:
  • Administration and reporting, as necessary.
  • Observe Health, Safety and Welfare compliance.
  • Regular reporting to the Operations Director on operational matters.
  • Ensure all project, installation, service, and repair documents are safely archived during / following completion.
  • Attend relevant training courses in the UK and abroad as required.
  • Carry out personal study to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
  • Look after and be responsible for all company equipment (including documents) which is made available to you.
  • Be aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake such other duties assigned by the company which are reasonable in relation to the position and skills of Operations Manager.
  • Carry out any ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Manager or for Business needs.
  • Special Conditions:
  • This role will involve regular travel and time away from home.
  • Health & Safety:
  • You have a duty of care for yourself and your colleagues under the Company’s Health and Safety policy
  • Ensure compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and internal standards
  • This role will involve Manual Handling.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Must be educated to the equivalent of degree standard.
  • A management qualification is desirable with at least 5 years’ experience in operational management preferably within a project management environment or related area with product/service knowledge.
  • A formal project management qualification is desirable
  • Demonstrable track record of success in dealing with complex project management issues
  • A good level of written English, able to communicate via written media (email) and verbally.
  • An understanding of computer systems both hardware and software would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of clinical systems and processes.
  • Must have good language and writing skills to accurately complete the necessary reports etc.
