Job Description

Pukka Pies, an independent company with a passion for pies, are seeking a Maintenance Engineer. You will be joining a friendly team within a genuine enjoyable working environment. We make around 1.6 million pies per week, 250,000 per day and 22,000 per hour. Pukka Pies continues to experience growth moving from the original days of small bakeries and having their classic pie at the football to now being able to purchase this well-recognised brand throughmajor supermarkets, you will definitely know when its a Pukka Pie as we only bake pies with our name on it!Due to one of our experienced Maintenance Engineers relocating, we are looking for a qualified engineer with electrical skills to join our team.As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:

  • Maintaining food processing equipment and automated packing lines.
  • Servicing facility equipment including boilers/lighting/power/ pneumatics/plumbing.
  • Pro-active and reactive maintenance duties.
  • Diagnose to circuit diagram level faults on electrical and electronic systems
  • Liaising at all levels in a professional manner across all departments
At Pukka Pies, we are looking for an Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Be a qualified Engineer, with electrical skills.
  • Ideally, you will be apprenticeship trained although this is not essential.
  • Competent in electrical maintenance engineering.
  • Proven experience of processing equipment / automated packing lines, service equipment including boilers and pneumatics would be advantageous.
  • Previous industry experience within a high-volume pressured manufacturing sector.
  • Food industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Flexible reliable manner and able to work on own initiative
  • Willing to go the extra mile to achieve the companys goals.
Your working week:
  • As an Engineer you will be working 3 on 3 off 12-hour day shifts.
  • Overtime is available, paid at a flat rate.
